By reactivating the pouches under direct, outdoor sunlight on each side for 2 hours each month - the pouches are like new again. If you care for them by doing this every month or two - the pouches stay activated for up to 1 year! Once that year is up, you can recycle the charcoal granules right into your garden or home terrarium where they will regulate moisture in your soil.
